February
19, 2006 - SE PA Runoff
The graph to the right was clipped from the USGS
site. Warm air temps, some rain, and lots of melting snow from
last weekend's east coast strom swelled the streams and rivers
here in SE PA on Friday. Now we have some of the coldest air
of the season sitting over top of us. Actually on Thursday while
attending the Corps Workshop up in the Pokies it was interesting
to see the lack of snow up that way compared to SE PA.
Look for the little black stones to begin popping along with
some olives, which usually begin to show in decent numbers around
March 1. Of course midges are probably hatching on the warmer
pools of your favorite trout water.
